Getting Ready at the Studio D2D Event Center
Louise and her ladies spent the morning at a salon, then met our photo team, Natalie and Nicole, at the Event Center at 401 Hall St in Grand Rapids. We put them up in our newest space, located on the first floor. The huge windows let in lots of natural light, and the girls were able to make good use of the dressing rooms and seating areas as well. The guys met us there already dressed and ready to go! Andrea had all of the gorgeous bouquets waiting for them, so photos were able to start without a hitch!
A Private First Look & Bridal Portraits
Nat snuck Dan away to the City View and got him in place while Nicole brought up Louise so that they could have a few private moments. There is nothing like the look on a groom’s face when he sees his bride for the first time! After a few minutes, the photo team jumped into Dan and Louise’s bridal portraits and then whisked them away to rest before the ceremony!
A City View Ceremony
We love the way Louise had their daughter walk her down the aisle and give her away. It was a beautiful moment, and there were lots of tears shed in the audience! The bridal party, family, and friends looked on with love and laughter as Dan and Louise made their promises to each other and became man and wife.
The D2D team was in full force for Dan and Louise’s wedding! The event staff kept everything flowing smoothly, the video and photo teams were busy capturing all the excitement, and DJ Eric kept the music ready and the audio clear.
Bridal Party Photos at the City View
Once the event staff had the guests seated in the reception area enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres from Distinctive Catering , Nat and Nicole were busy getting all the remaining photos wrapped up with the bridal party. The weather was crazy as usual (hello, Michigan!), so we stayed in the City View and used the amazing light from the big windows and the brick walls for the background and everything turned out amazing! The bridal party was a blast, and we had a great time doing all the fun photos!
A City View Reception
Andrea and the floral team did an AMAZING job setting up the City View for this wedding. The sparkling decor included gorgeous, candlelit vase centerpieces, white hydrangeas, mirrors, and sequined table runners! The Grand Rapids skyline beaconed during the dancing from the windows while the chandeliers glowed. Dan’s parents serenaded them with a special song, the bridal party gave hilarious toasts, and everything took off smoothly as the night progressed!
Dan and Louise cut their cake from Bakery 73 , danced their first dance, and the party was on! Affordable Limousine and Party Bus shuttled all the guests from the venue back to the local hotels, and everyone had an amazing night! We were so blessed to be a part of their day, and we are once again thankful for our amazing clients, our wonderful vendors, and the awesome people who make up Team D2D!
All the Best from Studio D2D!
Louise and Dan, we had a great time getting to know you both during this process! Wishing you all the best, friends!
