Christina + Jim
Where do we even start? We really got close to these guys, they were so much fun to work with! Somehow, (no one remembers how, exactly), there was a running clown joke between our staff and this couple, and we ended up really having a great time joking around with them. On a serious note, however, we have to mention that the love and devotion between these two was really something to behold.
Getting Ready at 401 Hall St
Christina and the ladies of the bridal party met up at the venue and we got them situated in a bridal suite to get ready. All the girls in the office were in love with Christina’s shoes! While the ladies were getting ready, Jim had arrived with Christina’s sons, and they worked hard as a team to get the reception decor in place! Once everyone was ready, we did a few photos…and had a very close call when Jim stepped off the elevator and almost saw Christina as she was heading down the hallway. We were able to sneak her away just in time!

A Family Oriented Ceremony
Other than how much Jim and Christina love each other…our favorite part of their wedding was how they included their children in the wedding. Christina’s daughter was her maid of honor, and her sons walked her down the aisle, and gave her away. The look on Jim’s face when he saw Christina for the first time had us all in tears; the emotions were in abundance! Of course, we decided to help them end the ceremony with a little laughter; when they came down the aisle as man and wife, some of our staff were waiting with clown noses on to keep the jokes flowing!

Simple Bridal Party Photos at the Venue
Christina and Jim weren’t really into crazy posed photos. Natalie and Molly were on board as their photographers, and they did a fantastic job, shooting a variety of locations at the venue, and getting everything from fun photos to romantic photos! We are so lucky to have an amazing venue to shoot at, we don’t really need to leave, unless it’s a special request. Everyone was very relaxed, and when photos were done, Nat and Molly sent everyone up to the venue to prepare for the reception.

A City View Reception
The City View was so elegant for Christina and Jim’s reception! Andrea and the floral team pulled together gorgeous bouquets of rich red roses and greenery, and Jim set out all the decor that Christina had chosen. Under the soft light of the bistro lights and crystal chandeliers, the results were gorgeous!
Kangaroo Kitchen created a delicious dinner for this event, and Distinctive Catering and Bar Service took care of all the beverages! Kangaroo Kitchen also provided a variety of desserts while Connie’s Cakes designed a beautiful bride and groom cake. Our D2D staff tied it all together with Late Night Pizza after everyone was hungry from dancing!

All the Best from Studio D2D!
Christina and Jim, we feel so blessed to have gotten to work with you! We wish you the best of everything!
